Laptops are great for portability and tavielrng. I use mine to edit photographs all the time. I currently have 4Gigs Ram, dual core processor. I would get the largest hard drive available. However, if you do not mind using external hard drives they work really well too. I have three two for commercial work and one for family.I would recommend to get your computer made to spec for your needs. It may cost more in the long term, but it will suit your needs right away without any add ons or upgrades. Good Luck!
